Heather

Have you been working on any new sewing projects?

Im going to try and make my Mom a kindle cover...still on the hunt for a tutorial- if there is even one out there!

Re: Heather

  • I haven't. I am taking a little crafting break (except for making my cards for card cupids).

Hopefully I will try my hand at making a V-Day table runner. I saw on Kim's blog where I can make my own flat iron holder and it looked easy, so I might try that.

I'll keep my eye out for a kindle cover. I would think there is a tutorial somewhere.

Have you checked out the blog I think it is called "crap I make" or something like that.

  • Thenest ate my response, grrr!

I was going to say, have you seen this one (Its from PB kids last year)

    image

It looks simple and cute- and the little hearts look like they are just hand stitched on.

I googled that craft blog, thanks!

  • I saw that on the craft board. Hopefully next valentines day I can make that as I don't think my skills are up to par to make that. I love that tablerunner, so I got to get busy practicing. I think the key is to get a straight ruler and use that to cut as I have a hard time cutting straight and some if that is my problem, but with the straight rulers they sale might work for me.

  • Cutting straight is my problem too!  I always give myself extra when I cut, in case I made a mistake.
