First EVER SmartPhone today (Android)
Woweee!!! It's gonna be a steep learning curve to set up the crap I know I want/need and then find all the fun stuff.
What're your most favorite apps? I've already got a few cool ones.
Re: First EVER SmartPhone today (Android)
I will be interested to see what everyone else says, I get overwhelmed looking for apps so I don't have a lot on my iphone.
app that gives you more "home pages" http://www.appbrain.com/app/launcherpro/com.fede.launcher#
Google tasks http://www.appbrain.com/app/gtasks/org.dayup.gtask
fancier texting http://www.appbrain.com/app/handcent-sms/com.handcent.nextsms
tv guide http://www.appbrain.com/app/tv-guide-mobile/com.roundbox.android.tvguide.presentation.activity
Congrats, and yes it is a slight learning curve, but you will get used to it, and will end up loveing it ans wishing you would have switched over sooner!
my app's: I think all of these are free too!
Advanced Task Killer (saves battery and hands down must have)
Flashlight
My days (since I am trying to conceive this is a great app to keep track of things)
Angry birds (fun and addicting)
Google maps (if it is not already pre-installed)
Pandora
Robo Defense (fun game)
I'm boring...
Jorte (great calendar app to make more user friendly)
Mabilo Ringtones (recommendation of a fellow nestie...awesome)
My bank has an app as well as my insurance provider so I have those as well
barcode scanner
droidlight (flashlight)
key ring rewards (scans all those keyring things you get for discounts)
lots of real estate apps...
I agree with the Advanced Task Killer!! Here are my faves:
Droid light (flashlight)
Angry Birds (game)
Catch (list maker that I LIVE by)
Bump ( DH, DD and DS all have droids also so we can bump picts, contacts, etc)
Pandora
Latitude (google maps)
Talking Tom (hilarious!!)
TV Listings
Where's my droid (if your ringer is ever low or on vibrate and can't find it, you just text "where's my droid" to your phone and it will turn up the ringer.)
Zedge (we do all wall papers and ringtones here ...all free)
Vlingo (if you are driving and receive a text it will read it out loud to you. That way you know if it's an emergency and you need to pull over and call someone back right away.)
The Google Sky Map is pretty awesome too! we use that a LOT in summer when we are out camping.
Our Groceries
