Disneyland!

H and I are planning a trip to Dland in March! I really would like to stay at the Disney Hotel, but would like some input! Has anyone stayed there, or do you recommend staying somewhere else?

Re: Disneyland!

  • We just stayed there for part of our honeymoon and really liked it.  We were able to stay in one of the newly renovated rooms and they looked great, comfy beds.  It was also really convenient being able to walk to our hotel room after being at the park instead of having to get on the tram and drive.

  • I love the Disneyland hotel, however it's second to the Grand Californian. If you can afford the splurge it's def. Worth it. Not sure how long it's been since you've visited/stayed at the Disneyland hotel, but the monorail no longer drops off AT the hotel, there's a drop off in down town disney with a short walk to the hotel. The thing about March to be careful with is that it's conference central. The cardiologist convention is typically held then and there's a huge cheerleading competition as well held at the convention center that will pack hotels and the parks, so if you have flexible travel dates, plan accordingly :) Have fun!

I agree- I love not having to worry about parking and driving! I also love the atmosphere and knowing I'll receive world class service. I also really enjoy never having to "leave" Disney.

This.  We just went over NYE and we stayed at the Hampton Inn about a mile away and used ART to travel back and forth.  We were happy with the hotel (nice free breakfast) BUT we both said that when the day comes that we go back with LO's we'd like to try to stay at Disney for this very reason.
