Renting Suggestions

Hey Ladies, I posted a month or two ago about moving to PDX this winter/spring. Well, we should be headed there in about a month. We have friends we can stay w/ for a couple weeks when we first arrive, but I'd really rather not overstay our welcome KWIM?

 I'm actively watching Craigslist, just wondered if anyone knew of anyone renting anything in the city limits or had a great experience w/ an agency or realtor. We would prefer a single family home in NE/SE, but are willing to consider more than that. We have terrible credit, but a good solid income & great rental history. Plus, we have one cat. Any help?

Sorry, I don't know of anything, but welcome! I've rented through Craigslist (they often have rental companies post too) and have had good luck, My advice, be on the lookout and call immediately. Things go quickly and often to the first one in contact. Good luck!

I think your best bet would be CL.  You can also google property management companies.  My grandparents own one a PM company in town, but right now they are only managing outer NE and Gresham properties.

I don't know of anything off hand, but I'll ask around a little.  Other than word of mouth, CL is the best way to go.

When we rented, we found it on CL and the rental agency was Rappold Property Management- we were happy with them. GL

We live in Portland, but on the NW side. We live in apartments and like it here compared to the places we used to live. If you're interested in knowing more about the complex, PM me and I can give ya the scoop :-) Plus i think you could get a rent credit if you have someone refer you if you decided to move in here. HTH
