Eco Friendly Hair Dryers?

I managed to blow up my primary hair dryer and my secondary hair dryer all in the same morning.  Anyone know of any eco-friendly hair dryers out there that are affordable and work well?  (less than $75?)    Thanks!

Re: Eco Friendly Hair Dryers?

  • Real Simple recently rated the Conair EcoDry Styler as the best energy-saving hair dryer out of the 40 they tested.  (http://www.realsimple.com/beauty-fashion/hair/tools-techniques/best-hair-dryers-00000000041068/page3.html)

My hair dryer is dying, and I'm debating getting this one.  (I'm also considering whatever hair dryer promises to get the job done fastest!)

  • Thanks for the reply!  I had just ordered a hair dryer online and then checked to see if anyone replied to my post, so I missed your answer.  Grr!  Anyways, I ended up going with the Barbar Eco 8000 Ceramic Dryer.  It seemed to be rated pretty well and only uses 1000 watts, compared to the usual 1875.  1000 watts was the lowest wattage I could find anywhere.  It was also made in the USA, so I was pretty excited about that as well.  I ended up getting it for $65 + $2.95 shipping on overstock.  I can post back on how it works if anyone is interested.

    Yes, please let me know!

(Although I think DH would choke if I told him I wanted to buy a $65 hair dryer, and I don't know if I could bring myself to spend that much money myself!)

  • Hi
I read many many article and well researched on hair dryer, So I suggested you that only ionic, ceramic and tourmaline technology hair dryer can be Eco friendly hair dryer because this work on every type of hair. You can read this helpful article  on hair dryer.
