THe house that we are trying to buy has a small greenhouse that's included in the sale of the house.
I live in NOrthern New JErsey, and wonder can I grow things all winter long or will it get too cold even in there without heat?

There are ways to use an unheated greenhouse all year long (but, really, winter is going to mean lettuces & kale, not tomatoes). The book Winter Harvest Handbook talks about how to use an unheated greenhouse in the winter:
