REEEEEEAAALLLY wanting to relocate from Atlanta
The hubs and I are desperately seeking a move to the beach. We
currently live in downtown Atlanta. We want to live on the beach or as close to it as
possible, love art, we are not clubby-types but love a good dive bar, oh
and it MUST be pet friendly. We are both 29 years old and would love to
celebrate our 30th on the beach with a chilly beverage, our dogs, and
sand in between our toes. Does anyone have any advice?

Re: REEEEEEAAALLLY wanting to relocate from Atlanta
It depends on how much money you have. Just be aware that you do not get much for your money down here.
I'd suggest going to www.realtor.com to look at some places to get an idea of the price ranges. I live Palm Beach in Wellington, which is not close to the beach at all but I love it. But you can probably just type in West Palm Beach or Ft. Lauderdale, or Miami. The closer you are to the beach the more pricey it will be. You may want to do some research on a few areas down here and then take a trip before moving, if you have not already done so.
I also hope that you have jobs already lined up (at least one of you) before moving as the job market pretty much stinks right now and probably won't be picking up anytime soon.
HTH!
Funny you should say this... DH and I thought the same thing, and moved here from Atlanta two years ago...the life here is NOT what it paints itself to be.
I will PM you the rest of my thoughts...
