Question, Please Help!

We are leaving for a wedding in Denver tomorrow. What the heck do I wear to a winter wedding in Denver?

Help! TIA

Re: Question, Please Help!

  • Do you have knee-high boots you can wear with a skirt or dress? I'd do that. Wear leggings underneath if it's cold. For my sister's winter wedding I found a long sweater dress with long sleeves and wore it with boots.
My favorite place on earth: The Amargosa Valley.

  • Did you check the forecast? It's my understanding winter temperatures there can be anywhere from snow to 70 degrees.

Okay, I just looked and since it's supposed to be in the 30's-mid 40's. In that case, I'd wear a dress that I could wear tights with. As for shoes, I think you'd be able to wear heels, just be careful walking to and from the car. I'd probably wear a peacoat over my dress.

It will only be cold when you're outside, but you'll still want to be warm up enough for that small amount of time!

  • My mom bought me footless tights with fleece. You can wear a cocktail dress with those (or tights in general), closed toed pumps or flats, and a nice cardigan. And if you're worried about snow and the shoes, just wear a pair of boots and change shoes at the reception hall.

Also, a friend from Denver recently told me the weather is completely insane in Denver and it might not be snowy or that cold at all, so check the weather before you go.

  • I don't recommend a short, spaghetti-strap, silk dress with strappy shoes and taking outdoor photos in said outfit like I had to do for a January wedding in Chicago last year.

But I'm not still bitter about it Wink

I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

  • Is it outdoors?? I like the sweater dress/leggings/boots idea, and a warm, formal jacket just in case.
