Whole foods

The 365 brand, some of it is labeled very specifically some is not. Is there anyway of knowing that the brand isn't made from GM ingredients? I thought I read somewhere they have a policy against using them, am I correct?

Re: Whole foods

  • Check this out.

Basically, they try to avoid them in major ingredients but sometimes things might fall through.

  • Ditto PP.  I'm generally okay with the 365 brand for that reason.  But if it's something that's almost certainly GM, like cornstarch or cereal, I buy organic to make sure I'm not getting any GMOs.

  • I got this from WF website:

"From the everyday to the gourmet, our family of brands offers a wide selection of natural and organic products. Exclusive to Whole Foods Market, all our products meet our strict Quality Standards ? that means no artificial ingredients or hydrogenated fats. But wait, there's more ... we never add high-fructose corn syrup and avoid genetically modified ingredients. That's serious quality."

Generally Whole Foods is very meticulous about the ingredients that they have in their products as well as the products that they have in their stores.  If you have a question relating to a specific product, I would suggest asking someone who works there.  I've found that they're really knowledgeable.
