Clicky poll re: kids (for everyone though)
If you don't have kids (or have kids who don't talk yet), you can pretend you do for the sake of this poll. Answer it based on what you think you would do if you had (talking) kids.

Re: Clicky poll re: kids (for everyone though)
I'm thinking parents with kids in daycare may be more likely to say Ms. First name, as that is what the teachers/workers at daycare are called. The kids call grown up Mr./Mrs. First name.
Because I know I have friends who do this, that is what we are teaching the girls. We were saying Ms. Deb for daycare but we were the only parents to do so. We are just now, after 2 years, saying Deb in front of the girls.
That is a good point. If it is somoene older than I do the Last name.
We don't have children of our own..But when we have our nephew or even with the other neighborhood kids, we refer to everyone Mr/Miss first name. When I have my nephew and for some reason someones first name slips my mind I use the last name.
When I worked at a daycare I only had a couple of kids call me Miss Brenda. One was so cute..he had a little lisp..in a sweet innocent voice I would hear "Mith Brenda" I loved hearing that.
