FB question

Can I just block a person from seeing things I post here and there?  For example if I have a status update that I don't want person XXX to see, but don't want to block them from all my updates can I do that?  If so, how?  Also can I do it for comments I make to other people or posts on their wall?

I don't want to block someone completely, just occasionally when I know I'm going to post something that will make them nosy.

PS--- get this--- you know that DH swore he wouldn't tell anyone what the baby is, well MIL had a comment on her FB page of "is your granddaughter here yet?"  I flipped the F**K out on DH.  He swears he didn't say a peep to her and no one at his work even knows.  I made him swear on everything we have in this world and he still denies it.  I am trying to rationalize it that she *thinks* its a girl and is just telling everyone that.  After all my brother keeps calling LO by what it's name will be if it is a girl and I know he is just wishfully thinking.

It may sound petty or dumb, but if I found out DH told MIL, it will take a VERY VERY VERY long time to forgive him, if I even can.  My pregnancy hormones can't handle that sh*t.

Re: FB question

  • Yes, you can do that for a status update. Under the status box there is a lock, click on it then click customize and you can select who you want to see it.

As far as the baby thing I would be PISSED too. I am still mad at Chase for buying the washer that his grandma picked out and not the one that I wanted and that was 4 years ago, it was a washing machine and we don't even have it anymore. I can't imagine how mad I would be about something like that.

  • only thing about blocking someone from seeing a particular status updates is that some people prefer to post responding comments on your wall rather than the status update. at least this happens to me occasionally. and that can make someone who didn't see the original status update even more curious.
