We'rehaving two of my college friends and their daughter over for dinner onSaturday, and I?m having trouble settling on a menu for the evening. I wantedto do something nice, but I think we?re all ?Holiday Dinnered? out, so Ithought something easy and comforting would be good. Here?s what?s knockingaround in my head: TexasCrockpot Chili, Jalape?o Cornbread Whoopie Pies, OR Pulled PorkSandwiches, GreenChile Mac & Cheese, With both, I would do a Tossed Green Salad, and I'm thinking dessert would be Ina's Brownie Pudding or Ice Cream Sundaes. Thoughts? Other ideas?
Re: Menu Assistance?
I like both options. My only complaint is that everything is spicy (although I guess the pulled pork shouldn't be too spicy). I think it would be better to balance it by having one spicy dish and one not-spicy dish.
I think the brownie pudding with whipped cream sounds delicious for dessert.
