Gadgets & Technology
Dear Community,
Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.
If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.
Thank you.
Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.
I have a few questions. How do you store your digital photography (snapfish?) What sites do you use to edit your digital photography (picnik)? I have several hundereds of photos just saved on my computer and am afraid it may crash. Also wanting to do some neat things with some pictures. Thanks
Re: Photography
I back up all of my photos to Flickr (pro account is $25 a year) and an external hard drive.
You might want to ask this question on the Photography board on The Bump as well.
Although I use it for my business, I'm a HUGE fan of SmugMug, which lets you uploaded an unlimited number of photos. They have three levels of subscriptions with the least expensive being $40 a year. There also aren't any ads at all and you can set up passwords for your entire site or for just individual galleries.
If you do go with them, you can save $5 with this link: https://secure.smugmug.com/signup.mg?Coupon=3NK8FCPFShMG2
For a full breakdown of their features at the three levels, there is a list here: http://www.smugmug.com/photos/photo-sharing-features/
