New dryer finally in place, so pretty!

Here's the backstory: Our washer pooped out on us a couple years ago, in June-ish.  So we were going to the super sketchy laundromat to wash clothes, and bringing them home to cycle through the dryer.  All phone calls are Ross's responsibility (I hate being on the phone, it's weird), and he just never called the repairman.  He kept saying it's just this one thing, and I can fix it myself.  Oy.  Months and months of this, and I finally guilted him into fixing it.  So maybe three or four days before Christmas he fixed it (clogged).  Then for Christmas we got a new washer from my parents :P   I was a little jealous and felt old because I got a washer, and my kid brother got a 42" flatscreen.  But I loved this new washer.  It's a front loader, uses less energy, less water, and has a ton of cool cycles (a gentle that's ACTUALLY gentle, a sanitize cycle for bedding/dog toys, a quick 25 minute one).

Fast forward to this Christmas, and we got the matching dryer!  We didn't *need* a new dryer, but oooh, pretty.  And my mom had the awesome idea of donating the one we had (which works perfectly) to the camp where we got married.  I washed and dried the overlays to try and get rid of the creases.  The dryer took for.ev.ar.  So Wednesday we packed the old dryer into our Honda FIT and drove the hour and a half, dropped off the old dryer at camp, and Ross went to Barnes&Noble, I went to Michaels, we went to Panera (the furthest north they come in Maine is Augusta, about 70 miles south of where we live), and drove back up to my mom's house (about 50 miles south of where we live).  In 10 degree weather, Ross and I managed to load the new washer into the FIT, and it fit!

And in place in the kitchen:

imageAren't they a good looking couple?  Their names are Gigi and Giuseppe (washer and dryer respectively).
