Strawberry Shortcake Birthday Party

Has anyone thrown one for their daughter?

Mu daughter is turning 3 next month and wants it to be Strawberry shortcake. Besides decorations I wanted to do "strawberry" themed games and food.

I was thinking of doing a pin the stem on Strawberry by making a big strawberry and cutting out stems for each kid to stick on?

I am at a loss on what else to do-we can do a pinata but I'd like something else instead. The kids will range from 8 mo to 12 years old. Thanks!

Re: Strawberry Shortcake Birthday Party

  • You could do a "make your own strawberry shortcake" instead of a formal birthday cake.  Just have all the berries, shortcakes, and whipped cream out (along with some fun extras like chocolate chips or blueberries) and have the kids go to town to make their own dessert.  What a fun mess!

You could do a bean bag toss with beanbags that look like strawberries.

    Cute idea for a party!

I was going to suggest the same thing!  I've seen this before and it's a hit.

I would keep strawberries as part of the dessert only.  I think everything else could be kid party friendly foods like pizza, chicken tenders, sandwiches, chips/dip, veggie tray, snack mix, burgers and hotdogs.  I don't know that it makes sense to have a strawberry and spinach salad at a 3-yr-old's party.  But maybe that's just me.

Pinatas are always fun.  Maybe you can do some sort of "strawberry" hunt like you would an easter egg hunt.

Good luck!  I had a SSC bday a few decades ago and loved it!
