A friend of mine is thinking of doing Jenny Craig. I don't know anyone that's done it, but I know quite a few of you ladies have had success with WW.
What's the difference? Why did you chose WW?
Re: WW vs Jenny Craig
With Jenny Craig or Nutrisystems, you have to buy their food. WW you buy your own food.
I've been a WW lifetime member for nearly 4 years and have kept the weight off (with the exception of pregnancy of course.) Not to sound like a spokesperson, but WW is more of teaching you a way of life (in terms of eating) where the other ones are more of a diet. When you buy the food from the places, you are relying on them to do your portion sizing and ingredients, so you're not going to learn how to do it yourself once you go off their plan. With WW, once you learn the system, you know it for life. For instance, I can basically look at any food item and tell you the point value. I haven't tracked points since I initially lost the weight but I still do it more or less in my head every day. (I swear that I do not collect a check from WW!)
ETA: I did Jenny Craig about 10+ years ago and only lasted a month because I didn't like having to buy the food.
I would not want to be told exactly what I have to eat. There's not really any flexibility for going out with friends, date nights, etc. Plus, I'm a picky eater and I can't imagine I would like the meals. Personally, joining Jenny would be like setting myself up to fail. I know there's no way I could avoid all the temptations around me and certain cravings.
WW teaches you portion control and to eat healthier. But at the same time, you choose exactly what to eat. You can splurge on things you might be craving. Tonight for example I'm eating frozen yogurt and sprinkles. It's a spurlge that I'm allowed to have on WW.
Here's a website with some comparisons that someone shared on another board recently: http://www.aa-lose-weight-loss-diet-plans.com/diet-comparison/weight-watchers-jenny-craig.html
Clearly, I'm on WW so I'm biased and I've never tried Jenny Craig. Plenty of people have had great success on Jenny, so clearly it works too.

Planning Bio My Blog
I did nutrisystem a few years ago. There were a decent amount of food options, but the food is not that great, and you still have to supplement with fresh veggies, fruits etc and I found I was spending a TON of money on food as it tends to be about $200-300 a month for food for 1 person on the plan not including anything else.
WW is more about education and making choices
I just joined WW online this month. The first week I lost 5lbs on the program (mostly because I was bloated from the holidays and finally got back to normal).
I agree with pp, WW is really about teaching you portion control and healthy eating. But you can definitely splurge on the plan when you want too, so it leaves room for cravings/parties/etc.
I was a fairly healthy person before, so I'm not completely blown away by WW (mostly because I already know the principles it teaches), I needed more of the motivation to make the healthy choices. So far, it's been going great. I know a lot of ppl that have has success on WW. I don't personally know anyone that has done JC, but geez $200-300 a month for one person, and I was being stingy over the $53 for 3 months at WW!!!!
Good Luck!!!!

This. 100%! I am a lifetime member too (LOVE that they give you a card!) WW teaches you HOW to eat and while I don't follow WW anymore (I eat completley differently), nine years since I started (and lost 75 lbs) , I can eye pretty much anything and know the points value (on the old program). I also really like that once you make your goal and maintain it for six weeks, you become a lifetime member, you get to go to meetings for free. I really think they are good about recognizing that your "struggle" is not over once you hit your goal and you still need check-ins and support.
