Since a lot of us ladies are trying to eat better/be more fit, I was wondering, what are some of your favourite snacks? I feel like I am hungry often and am trying to find better snacks to eat.

Re: Snacks
I like red or yellow bell peppers with hummus, string cheese, 100 calorie popcorn bags and almonds. The peppers or the almonds seem to be the most filling.
I also love a banana or apple with peanut butter (yum! But PB is high in fat, so you have to be careful. My fave is Jiff reduced fat).
My For Sale Bio
I make my own hummus- it's easy! and dip red peppers or spread it on thinly sliced whole wheat crisps (ww pitas cut and toasted with sea salt and olive oil)
I love edaname- so do two out of three LO's. We eat loads of fresh fruit, I like different apples as well- I am currently on a Fuji apple kick..buy natural PB with just added salt, so good! Raw nuts and seeds. Protein shakes ( esp post exercise if you are starting any program) with soy or non fat milk.
I also whip up some granola or trail mix (you can control the sugar or use natural 'clean' ingredients) and top my yogurt with it. I also like a small bowl of cereal every so often.
For me, the biggest thing is to not eat prepackaged or processed foods.
I am not a big believer in low fat/non fat/reduced sugar. Personally, I think it's a load of crap and much better to eat cleaner foods and indulge in the stuff you love when you want it as opposed to eating the fake stuff that never seems to fill you up and leave you craving more.
But it's high in GOOD fat, not the bad and should be in your diet daily in one form or another. Nuts, olive oil, avocado, etc.
