Okay so I tried buying Stevia at Whole Foods to use in my ice tea instead of Sweet and Low that I used to prefer (no aftertaste and dissolves awesomely).
Hate it. Does anyone else find that it tastes like Nutrasweet? Seriously I thought I had Nutrasweet and had that awful aftertaste. Any other ideas? I don't like real sugar as it doesn't dissolve so you get nothing then at the end, a big blast of sugar in your last sip or two.
Re: Stevia Fail
Other options: honey, simple syrup, superfine/caster/baker's sugar
Tired after a long morning of hiking and swimming.
Great.
At least I'm not nuts! There's over $7 down the drain.
I'll try agave. I have this faux cell phone that's actually a flask that I used to carry Peach Splenda syrup in to flavor ice tea on the road but then I realized I looked like a lush tippling during the day.
Ditto this. You also get the benefit of decreased allergies, as the local honey gets your immune system used to your local allergins in small doses.
This. I'm not a fan of stevia or agave. Too processed.
