Both my family doc and gyn are female. Now that I am an OB patient I see all the docs and there are 3 males. I have yet to have any exams from them but will get over it pretty quickly if one of the 3 is on call, which is most likely.

MY PCP is a female and my gym is male. It was a little weird for me the first time I saw him (which was about 7 yrs ago), but after the initial visit I was over it. They're both great doctors.
Baby #2: Surprise BFP 9.19.12, EDD 5.24.13, natural m/c 10.19.13 at 9w
PCP is female. OBGYN is female. RE is male.
I generally prefer a female doctor. I think they listen better. That said, I love our RE; he is extremely kind but does not sugar coat things and is more responsive than any doctor I've ever had. He answered my email on the weekend while he was on vacation for crying out loud.

I currently have a female doctor, but when I lived in Ottawa, my doctor was a man, and he was the best I've been to, by a long shot. He always listened, addressed all concerns. He was awesome.
So awesome that he gave it up to become a surgeon. Bah.

This is interesting. I've always seen female doctors for everything. One time I had to be seen that day (bronchitis) so I saw the male doc that had an opening. He was an old guy that made some comment about my shirt being tight and it made me pretty uncomfortable. I'm looking for an ob-gyn now since we're TTC (I've only seen my PCP in the past for my annuals). I'm a little weirded out by seeing a male, but it's harder to find female obgyns.
If I ever come into a large sum of money, I'm flying all you ladies somewhere for a big GTG.
ETA: Oops. This was supposed to be posted in Kaesha's awesome post, not this one.
Hahaha! I read this and thought, awesome, but why would our choice in male/female doctors make you want to fly us somewhere for a GTG. That makes more sense.
