Broadway plays and celebrities
Hi all, I know you guys probably getting bombarded with travel posts but any help is appreciated! I am planning a trip to NYC in the late spring or summer. We are hoping to catch a the show "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" with Daniel Radcliffe. How do the shows work with travel for the last HP film? Will they have an understudy play his part? How far in advance, if any, will they post if he will be unable to appear? Any advice is welcomed:)
Thanks!
Re: Broadway plays and celebrities
Hi!
I work for a Broadway theatre and we sometimes cancel performances if the lead star has a planned job that takes him/her away from NYC. However, if he is going to be away for a long time, they'll probably replace him. It really depends on the producer. They will probably post it in advance if he is no going to be there for a stretch. If it is a sudden change, they could just put an insert in the playbill with the change on the day of the show. In that case, you could politely ask for an exchange or a refund and they'd probably give it to you.
HTH!
