Seems a love/hate with Fios. Love what you get, hate the pricing, and long service calls.
Anyhow, my fixer upper short sale home has me super busy with replacing all flooring. I will have little time w/ furniture in new home before deciding where I want TV's (jack cost $55 a pop)... and I am thinking 3-4 rooms would be good w/ TV.
Have DirectTv now, and they won't seem to compete with Fios (until they lose you as a customer). though scary, hearing about Fios billing coming in higher than expected?
Wanting a multi-room DVR at $19.95 a month, with 3 additional standard receivers at $5.99 each.... cha-ching. Unless I drop one off and have a computer for the 4th room.
Advantages are wireless routers included, internet/cable combined billing, and sharing of DVR'd programs throughout the house.
I am a big TV/cable watcher, so I guess I just bite the bullet and do it/pay it. But...
Any tips before I dive in w/ Fios?
Thanks!
Re: Verizon Fios planning install/pricing tips/warning ; )
DS just switched from optonline to fios and loves it. She too is a tv buff. She just had installed on 7 televisions VZ's Ultimate HB package which is costing her 185.00/mth for two years month to month.
I played with it yesterday soooooooo many channels, its crazy. But the tv buff she is loves it. Check it out.
