girls wknd in chattanooga...???
hey! my girls and i are talking about our summer trip and we're thinking chattanooga. what do you think? we live in Ky so the drive won't be hard. we're looking for fun AND relaxation. we have married ladies and single ladies, so we're looking for something that has a little something for each of us. what's the downtown area like? some night life? any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I had a long post of things on your other post but it never posted. Dumb Nest gods!
But that site sums it up! Have fun!
Downtown is great. Everything is pretty much within walking distance. Lots of great places to eat, fun shopping, the TN Aquarium. Around Chattanooga (short driving distances from downtown) you can go to See Rock City, Ruby Falls, Incline Railway, cruise the TN river on the Southern Belle... lots to do!
As far as nightlife downtown, you'll mostly find pubs/bars (Hair of the Dog is awesome! And Big Chill rocks!), Rythym and Brews (Live music), and Alan Golds (Gay bar with nightly drag shows! Awesome atmosphere! Not in the "downtown" walking distance, but a short drive.) East Brainerd is a short drive and you can find the Electric Cowboy and Drink there (dance clubs, EC is MUCH better).
Shopping is plentiful in Chattanooga! Hamilton Place Mall is a short drive from downtown and is the largest in TN. The surrounding area is also packed with shopping. Something for everyone!
