Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

change in taxes?

so...  my paycheck was more today.  someone said it's a change in state taxes.  is that true?  anyone know anything?  i'm stupid on stuff like this...

    I think it might be the federal tax cut they just passed, my husband said something about seeing more in his paycheck from that.

    DH's paycheck was way up this week but not sure if he had expense reimbursement in it or not, I just emailed him when I saw it too.

    It could be. The FICA (Soc Security) and state tax rates went down (so your withholding will be less), while a federal tax credit expired (so your withholding will be more). You may see a reduction or an increase in withholding.

    Mine was up too.  I don't recall if it was from state or federal taxes and i'm too lazy to log into our website to compare.

    According to my payroll the SS tax decreased 2 points and there is a slight decrease in my state tax but my federal tax went up.
