Re: random pass the time poll/debate!
I'm going to say Quiznos. I love the bread they use, the fact that they toast their subs, when I ate meat, I thought theirs tasted fresh and I liked it chipped/thin, they have great coupons, great variety and sauces, and the regular subs are only like, $5.99.
ETA: I think they're franchised though, so I know not all quiznos take the coupons and not all have the same standards, which I think is a fault
Quiznos?! What's wrong with you, woman?
Angie's Subs. Hands down. Peruvian sub, Peruvian sauce plus hot sauce. Done.
High five, Sikes.....sooooo in agreement.
You guys have never been to/heard of Angie's?

It's a hole in the wall sub place in Jax Beach (right before Penman once you go over the intercoastal). It FANTASTIC. Maybe it was a UNF thing? Either way, worth going next time anyone is down that way.
I loooove subway veggie subs!
Quizno's is gross. But I still like you, Ash.
Yes!
I credit Jimmy Johns for my only gaining 15lbs in college & not more.
Because JJ delivered, my old roomie & I would call them on the way home from the bars. That way we had time to get home, shower & get in our jammies before our food arrived.
I've only had quiznos in the airport, but I wasn't a fan. Too soggy.
I've heard Angie's is good, but I don't plan to go there. I got turned off to the owner after the whole sign thing. It was just bizarre.
Idk if a philly counts, but I'm obsessesed with Bongiorno's philly cheesesteaks. I've been really good about NOT going there, but I have a feeling I'll be back in a couple of weeks.
Other than that, I like Firehouse for the sauce and the steaminess, but I love the lightness/freshness of Subway.
What sign thing?
He's outspoken Tea Party and changed his sign out front to say something like "a bible thumpin', gun totin' capitalist owns this joint."
Ruhlly? All I wanted was a sammich.
What happened with the Angie's sign?
ETA: I'm slow. NVM.
Wow... thanks for ruining my favorite sub place.
I missed that one.

so sorry!
I love Quiznos for all the reasons Ashlee mentioned! They closed the 2 closest to my house and I was very sad. I always get a sub from them at the airport to eat on planes.
I used to like Jimmy Johns for their slims, but then I discovered how much better sandwiches taste with veggies on them.
My brother used to work at Angies, in fact that's where my bridesmaids and I all had lunch before the wedding. He didn't get fired, but they basically cut him to like 0-2 hours a week, sooo... he doesn't work there anymore. I don't think that's anything against them though, I was surprised he lasted as long as he did.

Ditto all of this. But it's not a chain, right? Chain wise....probably Quiznos.
I love Angie's Subs.. enough that maybe I'll just have to close my eyes and ignore the sign when I go in. Maybe.
As far as chains - Larry's is probably my favorite. Firehouse is yummy too
Honestly, I went to Angie's a few times and I just don't see it. The sauce is ok. It didn't enlighten me or anything. Plus it took for. ever. to get fed. The sandwich was fine, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.
Quiznos is my favorite--oven roasted turkey or the steakhouse beef dip. MMMmmmmmmmmmmm. So good.
However, honorable mention goes to Subway for their bread, which I'm fairly sure includes crack and/or heroin, because when I smell it, I just HAVE to have it. But, they put preservatives on their veggies and I'm allergic, so I just have to get meat and pickles.
