My heart is bursting right now!

Caroline says Mama and Dada and will repeat Lalala when you sing and she usually starts all of her babble with Da ,La or Ga. Today, she sounds like she's trying to say Duck (her fav toys are all ducks) but nothing concrete. I sat her down to eat lunch and said "apples" and she said "Apa." I'm so proud of every little accomplishment but this one got to me. I wanted to take her out of the high chair and just squeeze her!

  • Again, I think I am completely losing track of time.  I was like "wow, Caroline is really advanced for a three month old." Indifferent

SHE IS NINE MONTHS OLD?  WHAT THE HECK?

haha I do the same thing (with Caroline and everyone else's babies!) I constantly ask my mom, "should she be doing this already?" and my mom is like "yeah, she's growing up." *sigh*

  • Wow!   Total little smartie!  I've been trying to get Nolan to say "mama" for at least a month and every time I say it, he just says "Dada."  I'm completely impressed by "apa!"
  • Aw that's so cute!!
  • Those moments are awesome!  Marcus just started to put words together this week to say "Hi Dada" "Hi Mama" - it's just so cool to hear them learn new things, it totally makes my heart swell. Yesterday as we were getting the car to go to daycare he said "Bye Dada, Bye Doggy" - I love it!

  • That is so cute! And seems advanced to me even for a 9 month old! Lillian just started babbling a few weeks ago and I loooooove it. I could listen to it all day.

Yeah, we're a big fan of Dada too. She'll say it all day long, whisper it to her toys etc. Only time she says Mama is when she is crying and tears are streaming down her face. Yesterday, she crawled over to me in her play yard and said Mama and wasn't upset or anything. I felt like it was a little victory. I don't usually try to get her to say Mama but my mom is always saying Mama to her.
