Color overload is exactly why I was afraid to tell my family our baby's sex. Remind people (and yourself, if needed) that there's always a possibility of having another child who may not be the same sex (even if you're not planning on having more than one).

Yeah, I'm learning that there is no reining in some people when it comes to buying pink for little girls (::cough cough:: ...MIL... ). I'm not a big pink person either, but so far our LOs incoming clothes are pink pink pink.
Maybe you'll get lucky and have a purple loving daughter. My SIL is a lifelong purple lover; MIL tells me that as a child SIL had to have everything in purple.
My DD is (already!) starting to express opinions on what she wears. Just today I had her at Old Navy and offered to buy her the purple butterfly rain boots. Nope, she insisted on the pink ballerina ones!

Yeah, DD's closet is definitely allllllll pink. It's nice that I haven't had to buy any clothes for her, though!

And I gotta agree. Get ready for pink. Luke's room theme was very clearly brown and green, everyone I mean EVERYONE bought us blue. Blue changing covers, blue blankets.
The bonus is that at least you get to register/ aka pick out most of the big items so you can make sure you don't go with pink

I do most of the shopping for DD because I go with my Mom. So she's got pink, but it's balanced. There are a lot of pink and brown items, which I can't steer away from. Have fun!
