It's Monday. Blah.

Hopefully the Starbuck's coffee I stopped for this morning will give me the boost I need this morning.  I want to go back to sleep!

Re: It's Monday. Blah.

  • I stayed up way too late, organizing things (loooove my new shelves!) and blogging. DH had to get up early, so the alarm started chirping at 6am. And I know for sure there was a 12: on the clock by the time I went to bed. Blah indeed.

    Coffee  refill, anyone?

Yes, please.  I'm heading back to the coffee room momentarily.

Blah Monday, indeed.  I'm irritable today.

  • Nick and I tried a new church on Sunday (we've tried 4 total) and really liked it.  I think we'll try it again this Sunday.

  • My boss is on vacation this week.  It should be smooth sailing for me.

  • My Monday shouldn't be too bad. It is only 6:45 here, but on the agenda for today is a lot of pool time. Not quite as exciting as hot air ballooning yesterday, but still very nice :P Ahh, vacation :)
  • Happy Martin Luther King, Jr. Day! On the agenda: Taking Mere for her 18m pictures, picking up a few things at Meijer and grabbing a PointsPlus calculator for my Weight Watchers points. I've lost 7.2 pounds in two weeks. Go me! Have a great day everyone :o)

First of all, why in the world are you awake at 6:45 while on vacation?

Second, I can't believe you went hot air ballooning!  Just the thought of being in a basket that's dangling from a balloon far above the earth gives me anxiety.  I'd probably cry if I were to do that.  You're brave.  Was it fun?

Yay, LVila!  Nice to see you online.  Smile

    Stick out tongue

    Go back to bed!

  • I'm up early mostly because of the time difference--that also meant I went to bed early last night. The hot air balloon was so amazing. I would totally do it again. First of all, it doesn't have the same perspective of height as being at the top of a tall building and looking over the edge or being on a roller coaster. It is more similar to looking out an airplane window and seeing the scenery go by below. Also, you don't really feel like you're dangling or swinging in the basket--it feels very stable. Around 2000 feet, I got a little uncomfortable with the height for just a minute, but it passed quickly and then around 7000 feet up I looked over the edge and thought about how far that would be to fall and that gave me a little spike of fear, but other than those two brief moments, it was pure awesome exhilaration. I hope to edit the videos I took and post them to FB after we get home tomorrow.
  • Some schools have the day off. Doesn't everyone else wish they had the day off?

  • Like Kid Rock says in his God Bless Saturday song, Monday aint worth a sh!t lol

  • I'm taking on new clients like crazy and I'm worried that I'm going to be spreading myself thin.

But the thought of getting financially ahead gets me so excited, that I won't turn down the work.

  • Hi!

T's birthday party went well.  We had a great turnout.  He slept through half the party, and he hardly touched his cake, but other than that it was a lot of fun.

He ended up getting pink eye in both eyes.  :(

This morning was his 1 yr check up.  It was pretty horrible.  Found out he has an ear infection and he got 4 shots.  He cried.  A lot.  :(

We had a great weekend overall.  I was sad to see it end.

Glad to hear it went well. Did he get some nice goodies?

  • I am having a Partylite party on Feb 6  2 pm. I know it's Super Bowl Sunday but it's early enough in the day. There is a website that you can order under my name as hostess for credit. If interested, let me know.

Could this day go by any longer? Ugh

This isn't really directed to you, but man, I'm so sick of everyone soliciting me on the phone, FB, email and whatever for their Avon/Mary Kay/Partylight/Pampered Chef/Premiere Jewelry/Pure Romance/whatever. I've had, just in this last week, 9 people ask me to come to a party or buy from their website.

Seriously? And when I tell people that I don't have the money, I hear "oh, but our products are AWESOMESAUCE and really affordable!".

    /end vent.

I know how it is. I got wrangled into this because a friend wanted to order stuff and wanted someone to have a party. So instead of saying no I said yes. LOL. Not doing that again. LOL. I am just saying that since I am having one, if anyone needs some and doesn't wanna have a darn party, you can order. I got suckered into it. LOL

    Everyone getting snow right now?

Poor T!  Glad to hear his party went well though.

  • hmm...I have a "dilema"   My standard "sit dow and be quiet" bribe for the kids is smarties (or a sucker). However I don't think that will go over too well at the dentist office. ha ha!

I have a backpack filled with stickers, color books, and the Tag Jr. book. I have to somehow manage to keep Amelia quiet and still while Allison gets her teeth checked out. This should be interesting.

I conveniently ignore 99% of the invites I get for those things. Even if I'm friends with the hostess.

Me too.  I loathe parties like that!

GVSU, I bribe DS with M&M's all the time.  I'm sure between that and the nighttime paci use I'm going to get lecture by the dentist when DS actually goes.  When did you start taking the girls? I have read at age 2 is when to start?

It is Allison's first visit. I'm a little behind. I kept putting it off for myself and I wanted to find a new place before I brought the girls anywhere.  I hope she does well.

No joke...it didn't used to be a problem, but now everyone is on the bandwagon about how easy it is to sell the stuff!

It just irritates me...if I say "no", don't try to guilt trip me about it. I had one 'friend' tell me about how she needs the money so she can afford a new coat for her DS.
