I posted this to my anniversary board, but I'm hoping that you local girls can help me out with this. So our first anniversary is this coming weekend. We've been in
negotiations for our first house for the past couple of months & by
"we've" I mean, I have been doing all the work. Last night my husband
mentioned that he couldn't believe that it has been a year already &
that he's excited about the gift that he's getting. Crap. I haven't
given any thought whatsoever to anniversary gifts because I've been neck
deep in house stuff. I did order a small replica of our wedding cake
(I couldn't bear to eat year old cake, but kudos to anyone who's doing
that or who did that.) for Sunday, but that's it. Now I feel absolutely
horrible because I haven't gotten him anything. I was thinking about
Blackhawks tickets...actually, I thought about Bears/Packers
tickets, but those babies are upwards of $500 a piece. I've never been
to a hockey game before & he grew up playing hockey, so I thought it
would be an awesome gift (not to mention they'd be paper
tickets). There are tickets starting at $55 a piece, which is doable,
but they're upper level seats. Do you think that nosebleed seats would
be ok? I did find closer seats, level 1 seats, but they're almost $200 a
piece...ouch. What do you guys think I should do, or is there
something else that I could get him?

Re: Big Anniversary Problems
Do they have to be Blackhawk tickets? We've been to Wolves game and they're pretty fun, although not NFL. Try looking on Craigslist for ticket. $55 a seat in the nosebleeds, ouch! That's really up to you and what you think your hubby will like. Does he have any other interests? Maybe you could see a play, or show? Does it have to be something this weekend? You could go out to eat somewhere and take him to out in a week or two? Try looking on this website for some ideas http://www.chicagotraveler.com/attractions.htm
