Hi ladies.
Looking for some help for my niece. It appears that (finally) my brother may be able to get custody of her, but she needs counseling ASAP for all the things in her life (the custody transition, her miserable experience for 8 years with her mom, etc.). I don't really want my brother to just have to rely on opening the phone book or searching online and was hoping for some personal recommendations if anyone has one.
And if you aren't comfortable posting here I COMPLETELY understand - you can email me at mcook04 at gmail dot com.
Any assistance is appreciated. I'm really hoping that with professional help and a lot of love we can help turn this girl's life around like my family has wanted to do since she was born. It's been a long 8 years and she deserves to be happy and healthy and loved, and no thanks to RI or CT DCYF we may finally be getting there.
Thank you all in advance.
Re: Child Therapist
Nicole - that would be great if her mother took her to anyone regularly besides a walk in clinic when she needs something. Alas her mother hasn't exactly done that.
If anyone has a pediatrician they love in RI that would be great too (he's in Johnston), although I'm guessing his friends have recommended someone already.
But she doesn't have a "relationship" with any doctor right now. Just hoping for some personal recommendations if anyone has them.

Michele, this is from the referral list off of my family practitioner's website. I hope it helps. I do not have any personal recommendations but I would trust anyone that my doctor would suggest.
