Flooring recs?

I'm in need of recommendations for some wood floor work.

Anyone get carpet removed & wood floors put in?

  • Sorry I didn't respond earlier. We used Marion's carpets in SE and came across a limited lot of strand bamboo that they had on sale for a very good price. We got our whole house done with it. The guy that put it in is a contractor that they work with and he did an awesome job. Took about 5 days for him and his assistant to all our bedrooms and upstairs landing, and the downstairs living room, family room / kitchen. We are very happy with the result. The only negative is that we needed some transition pieces put in and they were ordered later and took 3 months to come in. We need to go back to get new carpet for our stairs. Didn't want to have to deal with wood on them.
