My H and I thought it would be fun to do a '70s fondue party at our house for my birthday. We've only come up with a few ideas so far. 1) The menu - we'll do cheese, oil & chocolate fondue. 2) We do have an old lava lamp that will definitely be used and 3) We will request that guests dress up in '70s outfits.
Can you help me with ideas for decor and games? Any other ideas you have would be awesome too!
Re: '70s Fondue Party
My first thought was a bowl for keys
Maybe watch That 70's show for inspiration?
Orange and yellow would be good colors and maybe beaded curtains.
For games- charades
Music: Saturday Night Fever sound track and other disco music, 70's greatest hits, etc..
Decor: Bean bags, disco ball, vinyl records/8 track tapes, Farrah Faucet posters, Loni Anderson posters, Saturday Night Fever posters, pet rocks, etc. (Spencer's will have some of this stuff)
Games: Disco dance off, costume contest, Twister & 70's trivia
Clothing: Your husband MUST wear a leisure suit and white platforms! You should wear high waist bell bottom jeans and tie your shirt at your waist. Don't forget your big hoop earrings and your mood ring and of course YOUR platforms.
Birthday Cake: Decorated as a Yellow Smiley Face
Have fun and happy birthday.
