Enjoying my extra day off :)

I nanny for a teacher so I have today off, for MLK Day. Yay! It is such a beautiful day, sunny clear skies and 60! I know thats still not "warm" but we've been in the 20 with snow. So I'm enjoying my lazy extra Monday off, and I'm still in my pj's Yes. I got some outside chores done since all the snow has melted. And I'm about to go attempt to start a quilt that I've wanted to do since the wedding! I'll let you know how that goes.

Anyone else enjoying an extra day off?

  • You're so lucky! I nanny for 2 families. ?The dad for one works in a bank, so he has today off, and so do I. ?But for the other family the dad has to work today, and the mom has to study for the boards, so here I am. ?The little guy is napping now.

?Hope you have a great day off!?

  • I had the day off too.  I spent the day babysitting my nephews.  It is a weird feeling b/c our semester just started last Wednesday and now we have a day off.  I teach a Monday only class and I won't be able to see them until next week (the third week of the semester).

However, I am not really complaining.  Any day off is a good day off.

  • Oooooh, I LOVED my day off on MLK Day yesterday!  I got some wedding scrapbooking done (I'm finally on my bachelorette party), and got some things done around the house.  I also got some planning done for the week, which was nice to be able to take my time with instead of rushing through on Sundays like usual.  My students were a little nuts today, though, but my day off was much needed.

Let me make you feel worse...it's been around 68 with no wind and clear skies where I am!  Come to California... :-)
