Hope everyone has a good day. Schools around here are on a delay...again.
BUT, two big changes--Dh painted our dining room yesterday so now it's VERY blue. Also, we bought a car! Would you believe after all the shananigans, we ended up with a Ford Fusion? Used Outbacks aren't readily available and the ones we could find in the nearby areas (CLT, RDU, Triad), none had all the features we wanted in a price we could afford. We also couldn't find any slightly used Matrix's, and I was leary about buying a Pontiac. So....we looked at the Fords. The Fusion has gotten really good reviews of late, and the trunk space is great. Not as ideal as a wagon, but if we were able to put our bikes inside my civic with the back seats folded, then we'll DEFINITELY be able to put our bikes in the back of this car. It's even a pretty red! ![]()
Re: Good morning Chicadees!
Good Morning!
Congrats on your new car. I have a Ford Escape and love it.
Good morning!
I'd love to see a picture of your dining room. I'm trying to convince DH to paint our bedroom, but I don't see that happening any time soon!
Congrats on the car! Sounds like it was a great fit for you!
Congrats on the new car!! I've heard the Fusions are good

I agree, take a picture of the dining room! I've been trying to get motivation to paint, but I haven't yet. I think I'm a little chicken, but I really want to paint.
Well ladies, I hate to disappoint, but we're not DONE with the painting yet. DH painted the top 1/2 of the room. We're toying with the idea of striping the bottom half (a little more unusual) with a blue that's one shade lighter than what it currently is--I'm also toying with the idea of painting the ceiling that color as well. Plus, he didn't do any of the trim. Soooo, that's what I'm hoping to get done this weekend. If we do get it done, I'll post a picture next week.
Plus, we did actually paint over a layer of wall paper. We took off the hideous green/maroon/navy/gold striped wallpaper and the adhesive paper under that. The last level of paper is NOT budging, so we bit the bullet and painted over it (sanded it first to make sure). But this has been a project. And DH thought I was kidding when I said that over Christmas I was going to take down the wallpaper! Ha ha.
It's very blue--I do sort of feel like it's a nursery at the moment, but hope that once we get the trim revived and the furniture back in, it will look less kid-ish and more dining room-ish.
Thanks for the well wishes on the car.
You guys are the best!
