Superbowl Food Ideas?!?

Help! My husband and I hosted Superbowl for the first time last year, as fiance's. Now, we are hosting our first OFFICIAL Superbowl party as we just got married Dec. 18 after 6 years and we closed on our house, Dec. 14 after having rented it for 2 years prior.

What are some really good snacky, finger foods/ appetizers? I can throw together a huge meal but I am so lost when it comes to apps and desserts?!?!

Re: Superbowl Food Ideas?!?

  • For superbowl one year I made a crockpot of taco meat and put that out with hard and soft shells and all the toppings (including chips if someone wanted to nachos taco salad thingy)

Taco dip, Buffalo chicken dip, chicken wings (these are a little tougher)...hot dogs or pizza, chips/pretzels/dip, peanuts.

I would try not to be too gourmet-y, thing guy food (even though girls will be there), it's not time to do fancy mushroom appetizers or brie and fancy cheeses

  • We put together mac and cheese cupcakes (put together your favorite baked macaroni and cheese and place it into cupcake tins lined with foil liners), wings, ribs, and cornbread.    Add snack type deserts (cookies, brownies, fudge) that can be carried with one hand.     We also do a big pot of chili with all the fixings (Sour cream, nacho chips, cheese, rice, and guacamole).

  • Chili Cheese Dip, Cocktail Weinies, Meatballs, Party mix, meat/cheese tray and a veggie tray would be some easy things for you.

  • Superbowl foods are always easy and delicious.  I would do a big spread for sure.

Chili w/ toppings or Sub Sandwiches or Sliders, Chicken Wings, Pizza Bites, Bacon Wrapped Mini Sausages or BBQ Meatballs, Jalapeno Popper Dip, Chips and Salsa and Guacamole, Spinach and Artichoke Dip, Homemade Soft Pretzels with Honey Mustard Dip, Brownies, Rice Krispie Treats, Sugar Cookies, Soda, Beer, and some sort of cocktail based on the team I am rooting for

  • We are serving - pulled pork sandwiches, baked beans, coleslaw, mac and cheese, and hot dogs. Snacks - tostitos w/ a seven layer dip, spinach dip, cheese and fruit platter and some cupcakes.

  • I make buffalo chicken quesadillas. I just make them like regular ones but mix in buffalo sauce with the chicken before making them.

  • This is what's on my list:

ham and cheese pretzel bites, brown sugar bacon wrapped smokies, chicken enchilada wraps, homemade pizza, rotel dip, boneless buffalo wings, brownies, and cookies

  • HELP!!!

I'm a vegetarian and I'm serving a meat and cheese platter for sub rolls. Problem is, I don't know what kind of meat to buy or how much.

We are having 28 guests. We are all eaters!
