Pediatrician Recs for Chandler Please

Long story short, after a trip to the ER on Friday night, Blake's labs came back positive for RSV. I Had to find a local pediatrician for a follow up visit on Monday.

Found a place that worked, but don't think I am comfortable enough to make it my new office. We used to go to Cactus Children's Clinic, which I LOVED. It was an office of several doctors, and a handful of nurse practitioners, so they were easy to get appointments. Also, they had limited Saturday hours, which was a bonus. So nice to schedule well checks for the weekend, instead of taking the morning off of work. Anyone know of any good, larger practices in the Chandler area, that may also have Saturday hours?

Re: Pediatrician Recs for Chandler Please

  • I really like our Pediatrician's office. It's in Ahwatukee though - 46th st. & Chandler Blvd. Although they don't have a ton of Drs. at the office, I've never had a problem scheduling appointments there and they have Saturday hours as well.  Here's their website.  http://www.ahwatukeepeds.com/

  • OMG... this is my 3rd attempt at posting... I wanted to add that I hope he's better real soon. I'm sorry he has RSV. :(

Thanks! He is feeling better....He was cleared to go back to daycare today. However, on an unrelated note, he is scheduled for corrective surgery on Thursday for his minor case of hypospadias....Just surprised that the urologist didnt reschedule, and said he would be ok to proceed. All this on top of his birthday this last weeekend, family in town (which in itself is enough to drive me crazy), I am just a bundle of nerves. LOL

  • We take DD to Desert Shores Pediatrics and we love it. It sounds like it meets all your criteria (several doctors, Saturday hours, etc...). They have 2 offices and one is in Chandler, but it's South Chandler. I believe it is Alma School and Ocotillo or Chandler Heights.

  • We haven't been using a pediatrician for long, but we've been there every week since our little guy was born for weight checks/ lactation visits and their newborn follow up care.  It isn't a huge office but there are 2 physicians (both of which are really good and we've been seen by both) and 1 nurse practitioner who we have yet to see.  We haven't had to call to schedule a sick visit yet so I can't comment on how easy or hard it is to get in.  Its called gateway pediatrics and they are dobson and frye.  http://www.greatcareforkids.com/index.html  Good luck and I hope your little guy gets over RSV soon!
