Washing Machine and Dryers
We're thinking about purchasing a new washing machine and dryer. Has anyone purchased a set recently that they would recommend? We are just starting to research them. We're looking for a front loader washer.

We bought a Fridgidaire HE front-load washer a few years ago and it's been great. At the time, it was highly recommended by Consumer Reports.
We did not purchase the matching dryer. We still have our old dryer.

I personally love the Whirlpool Duet. But, I am admittedly biased. Older Kenmore washer and dryers are Whirlpools. The new ones are LG. (I'm not an LG fan, but that is partially because of their business practices. If I HAD to buy a Korean unit, I'd go Samsung.) But, heck, buy a nice Michigan product. Especially if you know someone w/ a hook-up.
By year end we plan on getting Whirlpool's new Duets. The new Duets have some great new features. If you do decide on any of the Whirlpool brands feel free to send me an email and can share Whirlpool's friends and family site with you. amiscisin@comcast.net
