Postcards :(

So, I decided to do a post card guest book, and put the post cards pre addressed and stamped in OOT bags.  I only received 2 back .  Do people just not read the directions posted, or do they just forget about them once they got home?

I asked my mom if she sent hers and she didn't even know what I was talking about!  WTF??  She said she didn't read it, and thought it was for her to keep.  I was like you didn't look on the back of one of them and notice my address printed on it?  It was my only form of guestbook... Grrr!!!!

Ugh, I would start calling people. Sounds like how people were just as bad with rsvp's, you can't make it any simpler when you already have it addressed & stamped. Hope you start getting some back soon

Honestly, I think people don't look and/or don't care.  I'm guilty of this, just nosing through the bag and tossing it aside.  If it makes you feel any better I had a coffee table book with Vegas photos from Peter Lik and I think only 3 people wrote in it.

Awww. That sucks. We got all but two back. But I probably reminded people 10x while we were in Jamaica. They had Jamaican stamps on them and had to be mailed from the hotel. My ILs didn't send theirs. When we didn't get it, I called and bugged them. They then mailed me the postcard - BLANK! They didn't write anything on it! Wtf. If I wanted a postcard, I would have just kept it. The other couple didn't do a lot of the group things with us in Jamaica because they got there last and were the youngest and most flighty of the group. I didn't remind them about it and wasn't surprised when we didn't receive theirs. Sorry for the tangent. I would call/email people to remind them.

I was scared that this was going to happen to me, so I decided just to have my guests write on the postcards at the reception & put them into a treasure chest.

Originally I was going to mail them myself from Aruba, but then I was worried they would get lost, so I ended up not mailing them at all & just took them home.

Maybe call or email your guests & tell them they need to fill them out & collect them from them? People sometimes need hand holding. it's annoying.

I was planning to do the same thing, but after my RSVP fiasco (sent out 100, received back under 20 and ended up with 37 guests at the DW) - I decided my guests are not to be trusted to mail out pre-stamped, pre-addressed pieces of mail.

The only suggestion I have is call your guests, and cross your fingers.

Yeah, that happened to me too. I only got two back as well. Jerks.

Meghan, same with us!  We've only gotten 4 back!  I hope people are reminded to write on them and send them since our AHR is this weekend...
