poll for moms

Yesterday, I had two people (including my mom, who saw me only three days ago) insist that I have "dropped."

Can you please share with me when/if you dropped while PG and how long after it  you went into labor? Obviously, I am going to ask my OB tomorrow about it, but after two people said something and then my DH said he had noticed a difference but didn't say anything, I'm a little concerned.

Re: poll for moms

  • my memory is a bit foggy, but i think i dropped around where you are now....

i think i remember my mom telling me that at thxgiving (and jude was born early jan).?

  • I don't think I ever dropped, but about a week before I gave birth, I became extremely swollen - especially in my face - 3 days before giving birth, my mom noticed a "difference" in me...

    Stay in there Miss Molly!

  • With Payton, I was never un-dropped. She was SO low once she flipped from transverse to head down. My OB commented on Thursday that this baby has "dropped and couldn't be lower unless she was coming out" haha, she is a trip. But purely because she has been breech then head down then breech more times than I can count. She is now WAY head down and looooooooooow.

Just to ease your mind a little, at 32 weeks with P, I was 1-2 cms. I gradually progressed as we went. I never went into actual labor on my own and was induced at around 3 cms. So dropped or undropped, it doesn't really mean anything.

  • My mom thought I "dropped" about a month before Anna was born.  She thought I'd go early, but I ended up being induced at 39 weeks. Stay put Molly!

  • Thanks for the feedback, ladies, much appreciated!
  • I never did drop, actually.  But for weeeeeeks, people said I looked as though I had.
  • I didn't drop with either kid. In fact, I could have sworn I was carrying them in my boobs.
