Re: PG Check In!

  • I'm here!  28 weeks as of Monday.  I went in last week at 27 weeks and was measuring 29, so I'm either just carrying all in front or this baby is going to be big.  Or both!

I had my first baby shower over the weekend, I went home to CA with my sister for it.  It was really fun and made this all feel very real!  Below is my 28 week pic and a pic from my shower.

  • *ecavin* you look awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can see the light at the end of the '1st trimester' tunnel. Yes I am almost 14 weeks but the worse of the symptoms kicked in the day before 12.

I called dh today to say I was thinking of making dinner and he was speechless. I have not done this in a very long time, and my headaches are easing up. Seriously I feel like throwing a party!!!!!

ETA: I suppose I left off an important thing, I am still waiting for the blood test results of my full integrated scan but I did get a call about the u/s. The baby looked great, however the placenta is on my cervix. I didn't know at the time what that really meant or what to ask but have read enough now to be fairly calm about it yet still have a lot of questions for my Dr next week.  So no nookie in our house for a while.

  • E you look great!! I hope I look that amazing when I'm that far along.

Things here are good. Been feeling her move around all the time, Dh finally got to feel her move which he was excited about. Other than that I'm pretty stagnant. Been nesting like crazy, threw out two and half huge garbage bags of crap the other day from cleaning out our main floor and our basement. And today I'm washing all of the cushion covers on our family room sectional, lol. D told me I'm going nuts. At least it's cleaning nuts and not hormonal nuts!

*Pooks, Dh told me I was lying the first time I wanted to cook dinner, I think it hit me at week 14/15 where I had enough energy to cook dinner at the end of the day. I tried once in the first semester, and got nauseous from the smell.

  • Yay!  I can post here.

    Erin, you look great!

Not much to report here.  According the the date of my last AF I am 5 weeks and 3 days and the estimated due date is Sept 18.  Boobs are still sore but not as bad.  Definitely a noticeable change in shape and feel but not so much size.  More tired, hungry, and thirsty than usual.  I pee a few more times a day but not many... yet.  So far no morning sickness.  I'm waiting for it though.  (My mom told me she didn't have any m/s with me).  No real food aversions. though the smell of grapefruit at the grocery store made me gag over the weekend.

Overall I feel pretty good.  Just trying to get through the next couple weeks till I can go see my new primary doctor to have then tell me I am pregnant and refer me to the ob/gyn.  I am ready to get a report on where we stand and then if all is good DH will finally let me scream it from the rooftop.

  • Thanks ladies!  My advice is to find a good angle for taking pictures and stick to it.  :)

Pooks, hang in there, you are almost out of the pregnancy sickness woods!  I haven't heard anything about placentas being on the cervix, but if you're not worried about it then I won't worry either.  Let us know what the doctor says about it next week.  Fingers crossed that all of your blood work comes back with good news!

  • Erin you look so amazing. I'm so jealous.

Well as I said before, yesterday was my NT scan and the tech said everything looked great. We scheduled our anatomy scan for March 15th. I have my next regular checkup on the 28th of this month. After that appt I think I'll finally tell work and everyone else who still doesn't know.

Also I finally got the hang of the doppler thing and I'm so glad. It gives me such relief to hear the heartbeat whenever I want.

    Glad everyone's doing well.

Pooks, I had a low lying placenta too at 20 weeks and I went back at 24 and it was normal so it definitely can move and most of the time does. Don't stress about it, for reals.

It was such a relief for me too once I was able to hear her hb at home. Definitely helped, I would listen to it before bed after a bad work day. Hearing it made everything much better.

Oh Summer I am so glad you posted that!! Makes me feel a lot better. My Dr's office doesn't even refer to it as placenta previa until the end of the 2nd trimester because of the of often the move up. I also had a an overful bladder at my u/s and I read that can cause a false postive. If I start spotting I may freak out a little though.

  • Erin, you look awesome!

I'm 18 weeks and people still can't tell I'm PG.  My boobs finally came in and aren't sore, so that's awesome.  I'm so glad all that test stuff is over and I can finally enjoy this.

I think I'm buying my first baby thing tomorrow - a stroller a guy is selling at work. It's an awesome deal. I'm excited to see it and if its in good shape, it's mine!  I was planning on doing the crib first, but you never know what deal will fall in your lap.  Good news is my parents gave us money rather than just going off the registry so I can find things used if possible.  I plan on going and looking at a few more cribs this weekend, so hopefully that will be off the list soon too.
