Re: Confession Session and Good Thought Thursday
Dear Doctor,
Tomorrow is 5 weeks from my surgery and you get to see my lovely face! I pray that everything goes well and you give me the ok to start putting pressure on my leg or bending it early. These past 5 weeks have been hell and I am so sick of lying around. I can't wait to walk on my own again! Also, I would really like to start having sex again with my husband, it has definitely put a cramp in our sex life! Try having sex with a broken leg, I don't recommend it because it is awkward! We are newly weds and I would like to have lots of sex! And I would like to go shopping and walk again!
Love,
Your Knee Patient
Dear My wonderful husband,
I can't thank you enough for taking care of me!! I couldn't of done it without you! I appreciate all the cooking and cleaning you have done for me!!
Love you with all my heart!
DW
Here is to good thoughts of me having a good doctors appointment tomorrow! I can't wait to walk again! These 5 weeks have been really frusterating! I would have LOVED to go sledding today, we got a foot of snow!
Confession:
I am trying to whole "don't wash your hair every single day" routine, and taking the baby powder method... I arrive at work at 8, interact with coworkers. Meeting from 9-10:30 with coworkers and management. Around 11 I go to p.. and I have effn baby powder down the side of my temple/face. So cool.
Good thoughts:
Feeling great today, so sending my vibes to any who need em!
Confession: I just got really snotty with the place that's doing my wedding album because I didn't like how the front cover was. But by saying "send my the damn file and I'll fix it myself" got the job done. They fixed it within 10minutes. And now I'm slightly less cranky.
I also ate Ramen noodles for lunch....probably not the best idea that I've had in a while.
Good thoughts:
I hope everyone is having a decent day. AND tomorrows friday!!!
What's the baby powder method?
You pour baby powder lightly into your hands and rub it into the roots, drying up your natual oils. I run the blow dryer through it quickly to kick up the volume a little. I have super dark hair, so I take extra time to make sure you can't see the powder in my hair.. guess I should check my face next time too!
I wonder if the dry shampoo would work on blonde hair too?
Sorry about the open letter, I got confused with confession! Sorry!
I didn't even notice. I read yours then continued reading without even thinking anything was 'wrong' with it lol.
Hmm, interesting. I've always heard it's better to not wash it every day, but I can't bring myself to do it. I feel like if I don't wash it every day, I just feel greasy and dirty (which I guess is where the baby powder would come in). Are you noticing much of a difference in your hair?
I think so, they sell ones that are white/clear, but people with dark hair complain that it shoes white flakes.
I was the same way at first. The next morning, my hair is usually already oily at the roots, so I was very hesitant to try it. I'm only on my 3rd week of going every other day, and I can't say I see a huge difference yet. One thing I have noticed, is that my hair is less oily in the morning now. I've read that your hair/scalp will "train" itself to only produce as much oil as needed, so I'm thinking it's lessening since I am not stripping it's natural oils every single day.
Ya know, I've just read some reviews on the dry shampoo, mainly because my hair is just a shade lighter than black so I fear that ithe baby powder will make it appear gray-ish if I'm not careful. I may need to check it out. Was it expenseive?? Do you use it the same way you would the baby powder, just a quick rub to the roots?
Adding on to the completely derailed confession session/good thought train....
I wash my hair only 2-3 times a week. I've done the baby powder, but never gotten it all out. I've used the stuff from Sephora, but you have to watch where you spray or it will also be brown. Tresemme makes two kinds of non-shampoo (called Fresh Start I think). One is for straight hair (it is a little powdery, but not as bad as baby powder) and the other is like a cleansing mousse for curly hair. I have naturally curly hair but have only tried the dry kind when my hair is straightened. I think it works good enough.
I confess that I only wash my hair when it absolutely needs it, so maybe twice a week.
I confess that I've eaten WAY too many of the cookies I made. But they're soooo good.
Good thoughts:
on here: That Hannah's been with her hubby since they were thirteen just makes my heart melt. You guys are so cool
irl: I'm really proud of my friend Amy, who recently left her boyfriend (who by all accounts is kind of a waste of space). She's doing really well, and is being really strong, she's working on putting herself first.
me: I'm happy that I have asked for the missing photos, and I'm proud that I didn't cut a b!tch, given all the attitude she gave me.
