Commenters on news sites

I am starting to think that 98% of people that comment on news sites (local especially) should be taken into a room and stoned to death. Do you guys ever read them? These people are sick! I have trouble believing that there are that many horrible human beings in this world, but I guess there are.

I'm with you.  I don't understand how some of them can be so cruel.  There's a difference between expressing your opinion and just being plain nasty!  I have a friend who recently lost his dad.  He was a public figure and had been in the news.  So his death was also in the news.  People were commenting saying just hurtful and ugly things!

It really is sad and disturbing. It's always both extremes, especially when it comes to political stories, so it seems there are crazies on both ends of the spectrum.

I don't read them anymore, because people are just ridiculous. It's mind-boggling how people think some of the things they say are acceptable.

I've mentioned here before, but my dad works for a newspaper and he has a blog as part of his job.  He has a much tougher skin than I do because I would be in tears at some of the responses!  Some of them are downright hysterical because they're so ignorant, but sometimes they're just cruel.

DH gets all worked up by them and gets in comment wars. I really don't see why he bothers. They're just ridiculous.
