Sen. Dodd returns to CT to discuss bailout
WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. -- Sen. Christopher Dodd is returning to Connecticut for the first time since Congress and President Bush approved the $700 billion bailout package for the financial industry.
Dodd, the chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, plans to meet Monday morning in Windsor Locks with Chamber of Commerce officials and banking, labor and housing organizations from across the state.
Hundreds of people across the country have expressed concerns about the bailout. Many said they wondered whether the rescue would help Wall Street at all, and they were very concerned about their own finances.
***I would LOVE to go to this, but I am willing to bet that it isn't an option.
