So after a recommendation from my acupuncturist and hearing some of the symptoms of ladies with endo on this board, I did broach the subject with my GYN this morning. My GYN thinks I could have it but it also may simply be my fibromyalgia reacting to the hormonal changes that go on during placebo week. Also, since acupuncture has almost eradicated all my symptoms, she thinks I should stick with that and take skip pill placebo weeks until we're TTC to get my body back on track. She said if I'm not pregnant after 3 months, then we'll know we should explore if there are fertility concerns and where to start looking. This is along the lines of the path I wanted her to take, so I'm happy with it. And I'm very happy to skip my period for the next year or so. ;-) Thanks for sharing your experiences so I knew to ask.
Re: thank you endo ladies
Glad you mentioned this with the Dr, and very glad that most of your symptoms have been relieved! Skipping a period is definitely nice
I'm finally back on track with that after having Caroline. Just know though, that endo doesn't necessarily cause fertility issues. Myself,CDG and MACB are examples of that! Really though, there isn't a cure so if your symptoms are gone that's all that matters.
Having the discussions on here really helped me when I was being diagnosed, and even helped me find a great Dr while I was at it!
Thanks. Yes, my doctor said all of this as well. :-)
All this (well, except for the endo part since I've not had it).
Also-- YAY! Getting answers and having a feasible plan is always helpful and must make you feel like you're on solid ground as you move forward! And very impressive that your doc listens to you and addresses your concerns respectfully and with your unique and best interests in mind.
