I was saving the Janet Evanovitch books (which I have on my kindle 1-16, I think) for until I finished the Anita Blake Books...but I got to #7 Anita Blake...and it's just not very good.
I needed a break. Im SICK of the loveey parts. I like a good sex scene, but not this constant blah with dull sex mixed in.
I LOVED bloody bones- that might have been my fave Anita Blake. Or the one with the super zombies eating all the suburban families.
If you have a kindle and want all of the janet evanovitch books except the new one) I can email the file to you. you have to convert them, but it is EZ. and then they work just like a regular kindle book.

but yes, the casting is horrible. I think I just have such perfect mental pictures of all of these characters that no actor/actress would seem right to me.

No no, you're not dumb. You've just unknowingly stumbled onto Kindle Central. Mod knows more about the Kindle than the people who created it. She is constantly recruiting people to join the Kindle Klub. I didn't even bother opening my manual because I figure if I have a question, I can just ask her instead. She can convert anything. She has more books than the library of congress. She is the Kindlenator.

well, I sort of feel like when they cast characters from a well loved series of popular books, they're better off going with unknown actors.
I think known actors carry too much baggage for an already developed char. I don't giva a crap what Katherine heigl wants to put into the char. I really need someone who doesn't already have a screen personna to taint the performance.
