good evening

Whatcha up to? It's actually not evening yet and we had a rocky start to nap time, so Will and Evie are both currently asleep and I'm eating ice cream. There are plenty of other things I should be doing, but I can't seem to pry my butt off the couch or the spoon out of my hands.

  • Harro!  I want some ice cream
  • Anal fissures makes me think of that episode of The Office where Dwight was taking health insurance away and asking people for specific diseases they had so he could only cover those.

    image

  • As soon as I nurse Stinker, I'm heading to the store for the ingredients I need to bake a cake. I will now be adding ice cream to my list.

  • Anal fissures make me think of seeing Kevin Smith. He tells a very long, detailed story about anal fissures and jury duty.
I'm pretty sure it's pronounced your mom's a moron and if you didn't have your name legally changed by the age of 22, so are you. Unless you're from another continent. -Groomz
  • Trader Joe's coffee ice cream is super yummy. I don't know if you've heard of Trader Joe's, it's a local specialty store.

  • Hello. I'm eating Chicken Costoletta http://mudpiegourmet.blogspot.com/2007/08/crispy-chicken-costoletta.html

    and ordering glasses from Zenni.

  • I HAVE NO TRADER JOES!!!!  or Joe's crabshack for that matter and I love those damn little fireball thingies.

We are headed to the $3 movies and are going to see Due Date.

  • I have never been to Joe's Crab Shack. Is it just like going to Chili's or something? Should I go? Teach me their ways.

Bethie, what glasses are you getting?

  • So Chattermonkey, tell us about yourself. You've lurked for awhile, right?

  • I'm feeling some Ben and Jerry's Coffee Heath Bar Crunch in my future.

  • Joe's Crabshack has seafood, better than Red Lobster, but not as good as fresh. These fireball things are like cream cheese, crab, shrimp and jalepenos I think.  I live in KY so I'll take what I can get.  The closest one to me is Louisville or St. Louis.

I'm 28, never married, no kids, have had a bf for 3 years and we are in the process of house hunting.   I own a bridal shop, that's what brought me to the knot.  I've been around since Chop's days.

I work with a local rescue group and foster dogs.  I have 2 of my own, Bodie and Ruby.

  • You own a business at 28? I'm impressed. Who else worked at a bridal shop, was that Jem?

  • Joe's Crab Shack is like a slightly higher class version of Red Lobster.  I wouldn't waste a trip living so close to the ocean.  I assume you have plenty of good seafood there.

I watched Cropsey and, yeah, meh.  I kept getting up to do other stuff and forgetting to pause it so that shows how into it I was.  I just started Pageant though, and I'm much more into it.  I'm also loving these salt and vinegar chips.  Very much.

Can't remember her name, but broke up with her boyfriend, made out with a girl, made an AE and posted some shiit about someone, maybe babbs?  She worked at a bridal shop.

    Love those glasses.

Did it start with a Mc?

HT was the one that outed her, right?

  • I think you're right; McLovins, aka Dee-numbers, owned or worked at a bridal shop.

I am watching Chopped, enjoying the glass of wine I didn't get to have yesterday, while my husband makes turkey tacos.  Then we're going to watch last night's NBC shows.  About an hour ago my kid pooped on my shirt, but things have improved since then.

  • salt and vinegar potato chips are my favorite, but only if they're more vinegar than salt.

  • Hello.I'm huddled up next to the space heater, it's 8 degrees outside. I'm drinking diet (eew, diet is gross, but 0 points!) Vernors and vanilla vodka and watching the Police Women of Cincinnati from last night. Also doing my menu plan for the week.

After countless attempts, Maggie finally peed on the potty tonight. Whoop!

    image Ready to rumble.
  • I've been meaning to ask you about potty training. Will has just gone sporadically when he thinks of it, but in the last couple days (while my MIL has been here) he's been doing pretty well. At first I was questioning my mothering skills if she's been so effective in such a short period of time, then I was all, fucck it - if it's working AND I don't have to do as much work, WTF do I care?

Seriously, I would pay someone to potty train Maggie. It's awful. She's just not interested, despite us talking about it ad nauseum. We've resorted to bribing her with buckeyes left over from Christmas. She holds her pee so much that she floods her diaper, soaks her clothes. She tends to only go poop during naptime or when she wakes up, so I'm washing her bedding 2-3 times a week. I'm envious of the potty training assistance kids in child care get.

  • Just put the baby to bed, and into my second glass of wine while F watches Antiques Roadshow.  Just another exciting Friday night at our house.

F has his heart set on going to the zoo tomorrow even though the weather forecast includes words like 'polar' and 'Arctic.'

  • I bought king cake instead of ice cream
