Let's see if we can get this board moving again. I'm not sure how often people come over here but what if we set a date to all meet here? Everyone could do an intro post or something.

Re: WAKE UP board
Haha! I check this board from time to time and yesterday I was actually thinking about doing the same thing. I see people from KY on TN and TB all the time, but no one ever seems to post here. This needs to change! I know you mentioned setting a date (?) but I guess I can do a generic intro and maybe others will chime in...?
I'm Katie. I'm a mid 20's newlywed. I'm from Owensboro but just moved to the Lexington area for DH's job. So far I like it here, but I'm currently bored out of my mind since I haven't found a job yet and don't know many people in the area. I've recently been thinking of going back to school for another degree. DH and I have no pets, no kids, and no desire anytime soon. I love traveling, photography, psychology, lame reality TV shows, Italian food, new experiences, people, and some of nature.
Okay. Your turn, lol. Where are you from?
Here's the scoop on me:
My name is Emily. I've been married a little over 2 years. DH and I are both from the KY Lake area, but live in Louisville now. DH has been here 7 years, and I've been here 3 years. Slowly but surely, Louisville is becoming home. We don't have kids, but our ***-a-poo is like our son! I never thought I'd be crazy about a dog, but I am!! It's ridiculous. I'm a country girl through and through! I love summer days at the lake, fishing, boating, camping, lazy afternoons by the pool, college football, backyard bonfires with friends and cold beer, and live music.
Let's here from some more of you ladies!!

Oh fun! This is what I get for popping over for the first time in ages!
I'm Angie. I'm originally from Alabama, but came to Lexington for college (Transy...it's a long story how that happened). I met DH while up here and the rest is history! I work as a dyslexia tutor and am in the process of going back to school to be a Reading Specialist. We have one puppy dog (who's 6), Mister. No 2-legged kids. One day...probably when I'm done with school. I love Auburn football, tolerate all things UK, decorating our house, and dreaming about the beach.
My Bio
I'm grew up in Graves County and attended church in Calloway County. My husband is from Marshall County. We both went to Murray State. I graduated in 2003, and he ended up transferring to UofL to finish his Master's degree the summer of 2003. We didn't meet until 2006 at a fraternity alumni party on campus. He was back at MSU for the frat event and I went to the party on a date with one of his frat brothers. After that, the rest is history...
Hi! would any of you ladies be interested in building a custom built brick home in your area? Please let me know and I can send you a packet with some more information!

Well... I thought I checked this board pretty regularly just in case anything was ever happening. But obviously, it has been a while, because I totally missed all of these new posts.
Anyway, I know it's a little bit late, but I guess I'll go anyway.
I'm Stephanie and I moved to Lexington from southeastern KY. I'm getting married in May. FI and I have 1 dog, who we love tons, and I am definitely ready for spring.
btw, great effort to get the board started ladies!!
