Introduction!

Hello- I've been married for about 5 months, but I'm just now posting on the nest!  So, I thought I'd introduce myself:

DH and I both grew up in Overland Park and now live in Olathe. I work in insurance (VERY exciting, I know  : ) and DH is a student working on going to med school. I graduated from K-State and DH from KU.  Definitely no babies yet, just a couple of kittens.

Most of my close girlfriends are single, so we're navigating married life ourselves! It has been great though- learning a lot but having so much fun.

Anyway, not a lot of say about myself, but would love to meet some local nesties!

Re: Introduction!

  • Welcome! I can relate to navigating married life yourself ... my girlfriends aren't married yet, either. It's definitely an adventure!

  • Hey justtoday,

Nice to meet you. My husband I and are both at KSU, about to graduate. We're waiting on the baby gig too for a few years.

Welcome to the boards, I'm pretty new myself!

  • Hi! I live in Overland Park in an apartment with my DF- we are getting married in July! I am from Kansas City, he is from Oklahoma but we met when he was in a PhD program at KU! I am a full time student at UMKC (working on getting a BA in psychology and wanting to go on to get my masters) also working part time as a caregiver, and so is he actually for the time being but looking for something different. He has a degree in fiction writing so he would like to teach english classes at the college level. No kids for us for a long time either, but we just adopted a dog named Princess from Wayside Waifs- she is our kid for the time being, plus my fiance acts like a child sometimes!Stick out tongue

congrats on being a newlywed! i'll be joining you soon!
