Feedback on presentation slides

So I get to present to high schoolers this coming week on my job as a photographer. )) Pretty excited, I was asked to do it as part of their career program. It's a charter school, and I was nervous at first, but after designing my slides I'm feeling pretty good.

Feedback? I'm used to presenting to college students, so I tried to think about the high school mentality while creating the slides. I'll be doing mostly talking, the slides are there more as a guide. What do you think?

 Note: When I was in high school we really didnt' use much of power point, so I don't know how high schoolers use it today haha.

Looks great.  The only think I can think of is maybe doing a couple of comparison slides showing the students the different between, for example, a photojournalistic style and a portrait.

If it's more than 15 min I'd definitely add a few slides of pictures that you can just click through to highlight your points. Not enough to distract them, but enough to keep them listening to you.

Or even maybe some extra shots at the end just for fun - some that can maybe just play while they're walking out just to show off your work.

I like the suggestions given.  Def. a few slides to show specifics of what you're talking about.  Overall the PP you've put together looks good, but it seems like it's nothing more than an outline - to keep their interest I think adding in a few extra slides will help. 

 

For example (and please only take this as an example and it's the first thing I could think of  lol) like with your intro slide, you could then go to a slide showing some of your equipment (maybe even a shot of your equipment set up?  like a pull-back shot showing any extra external flashes, diffusers, whatever that you use) then go back to the intro slide so you can keep going to the next topic..?  Maybe throw in some pictures of you in action when you're on the "practice practice practice" part?  Show some exmaples of the different types of photography after the specialty slide.  That kind of stuff.

Thanks guys! All very good suggestions. I agree on putting in a slide showing the different equipment, and slides demonstrating the different styles.
