To buy a boppy pillow from TJ Maxx (they are $20) and put it away for the "future" (two years before we start trying)....?  i know they are usually $35+ so i figured that was a good enough price to buy and save.... its plain so its not something that will "go out of style" .... but is it a good enough price to warrant buying it now?  thinking of buying two - one as a gift for my friend who is pregnant....

Personally....I think it's a little crazy. 2 years is a ways off, and I hate to see someone jinx themselves. I didn't buy anything until I got into 2nd tri. TJMaxx does have Boppy's pretty regularly so I am sure you could find one when the time comes.

Now if you are buying it because you think it is a comfy pillow for lounging on the couch and pan on using it now......totally different story.

It wouldn't be crazy, but there really isn't a need for it.  It's not like it is a really expensive item that is half off or a certain bedding that will end up being discontinued.  But then I have so much clutter in my house right now so that might be clouding my judgement.

LOL i figured. its probably a good rule of thumb that if you are thinking something is crazy, it probably is!!!

 

Leela - it didn't help that my pregnant friend was in town this weekend from Tallahassee, and asked me to go shopping with her for baby stuff!!! so we went to TJ maxx and Carters....

 i wasn't sure if TJ maxx carried them regularly or if it was a one-time thing - i know sometimes they will randomly have a "hot" item in stock for a short period of time.....

Don't bother- they're probably the "old" style, without the sturdy inner layer of stuff. They were clearanced all over the place, because they suck compared to the newer style. I bet there will be an even better design in two years, too. And yes- it is a little weird to buy something like that, SO far out from TTC.

Thanks all for the replies.... like i said, in retrospect, if i have to ask if something is crazy, it probably is!

for a split second, when i was out shopping with my pregnant friend, i thought maybe buying something would quell the fever, but i realize its a pretty silly thought.... i guess that's kind of like planning a wedding before getting engaged!

This is totally random and not on the subject but I saw in your bio that you were married in upstate, NY. I am from there and was married in upstate, NY four years ago. Just curious where you were married. I was married in Scotia, NY.

I think there is some sort of glitch, whenever I click on someones picture icon it tells me their name and says MY wedding date. lol.... and my stats---but with their picture. I think that may be whats happening to KML too

oh, LOL you must be right - b/c whenever i click on anyone's names it shows my wedding date --- i thought there was something off when so many ppl on here were married the same day as me! LOL
