RP: chili recipe...

Hey ladies, 

Do any of you have a chili (soup) recipe you'd be willing to share?  I want to make chili for DH next Sunday for the SuperBowl game.

I dont have one but wanted to let you know, in case you didnt already, that the superbowl isnt next week, its Feb. 6th two weeks from now.

 Sorry if you already knew, some people dont realize they are taking a week off in between this year!

Bwaaa-haa!  Sadly enough, I knew the superbowl was Feb. 6th.  However, I thought next weekend was Feb. 6th.  As my dad always said, I guess I'm wishing my time away!   Thanks for getting me straight!

You aren't the only one, DH was asking what I wanted to do for Valentine's day since it was in two weeks and I had to tell him that it's 3 weeks away. I think it feels like it should be sooner b/c there will be 5 weekend in Jan.

I love that your DH is planning ahead!  You should have something extra special in store since he now knows he has 3 weeks to prepare instead of 2.

hands down, the BEST chili recipe.  I always get requests for the recipe when I make it.  Its a lot of prep work, but SO worth it in the end.

a couple things i do different...

 - I don't use a ham hock, I use a couple tsp of liquid smoke

 - I use 1 lb ground pork and 1 lb pork chops cut into bite size peices
